Les Costières de Pomerols / Lots of mouth-watering grapefruit aromas and flavours on the nose and palate. Refreshing aperitif or companion to seafood. Green, lime, acidic: refreshing, and mouth-watering. Medium-bodied. Picpoul de Pinet is a grape varietal as well as an AOC wine. The grapes are grown on southern France's Mediterranean coast, though this comes off as very cool climate white wine: think Vinho Verde x 10. MINE: This is a mouth-watering Picpoul Pinet from the Midi wine region in France. Beauvignac (2016) Picpoul de Pinet is a grape varietal as well as an AOC wine. Les Costières De Pomérols located in the southern French region of the Languedoc and has been producing wine since 1932. In the 17th and 18th centuries, This wine is dry and best served chilled and to drink young with fresh, steamed mussels, crab, shrimp. Picpoul was blended with another popular Languedoc white, Clairette, to make a popular blend known as "Picardan". OTHER: Les Costières de Pomerols. OTHER: The name Picpoul, or Piquepoul, means "lip-stinger" and is a direct reference to the vibrant natural acidity of this grape. Grown in clay and limestone soils, the wines of Picpoul de Pinet are always bright and refreshing, making them perfect for oysters or grilled fish. Expect notes of apple, lemon citrus and a salty mineral edge, with herbal accents. (Vintages Panel, updated). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
