Reviews and Ratings

Community Reviewer reviewed this wine as follows:

The wine has a clear, clean, vivid red colour and a straightforward, nicely open nose which reveals rich cherry and liquorice aromas with a hint of chocolate. Full-bodied and lush on the palate, it shows all the fruit of a rounded, mature Merlot, with suggestions of cherry and raspberry enfolded in lovely, creamy tannins. The attractively full finish combines power and softness, expressing the character of both the terroir and the grape.

Colour: Violet-purple. Nose: Typical of a wine from sunny climes, the nose combines multiple berry fruit aromas, especially strawberry and blackberry, with subtle notes of leather and spice. Palate: The wine fills out on the palate throughout the tasting. Intense fruit is immediately apparent on the attack, followed by peppery notes. The intensity is underpinned by fine, persistent tannins that never dry the mouth or become astringent, leaving an impression of refinement and lightness.
