From the Paarl wine region in South Africa, Avondale's Jonty's Ducks Pekin 2016 is a medium-bodied white blend of mostly Chenin Blanc with the balance made up of Roussanne, Viognier & Semillon. Look for beeswax, lime zest, grapefruit, tropical and stonefruit notes on the palate. Pair it with fresh salads topped with grilled chicken.

Food pairings: spinach and pepper jack stuffed chicken, pork tenderloin, toasted ravioli served with Alfredo sauce.

From the Paarl wine region, Avondale's Jonty's Ducks Pekin 2016 is a medium-bodied white blend of mostly Chenin Blanc with the balance made up of Roussanne, Viognier & Semillon. The wine was fermented with wild yeast at between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius with a portion fermented in used large oak barrels. Look for beeswax, lime zest, grapefruit, tropical and stonefruit notes on the palate. Winery owner, Johnathan Grieve employs a “posse” of ducks that patrol the vineyard looking with a taste for snails which eat the grapevines. The ducks are an eco-friendly alternative to harmful chemical poisons to kill pests and act as the guardians of the vines on Avondale. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
