A gorgeous, rich Sherry with a luxurious depth and mouth-filling texture. Aromas raisin flan and toasted nuts. Skip dessert and just have this.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 97/100 with the following review:

A taste of Andalusian sunshine in your glass! Made from 100% Pedro Ximenez grapes which have been dried in sunshine on grass mats, then aged in traditional earthenware jars, "tinajas" for at least 12 mos. A beautiful amber colour, with rich aromas of raisins, dates, apricots and orange rind. The palate is decidedly raisiny, with flavours of dried fruit and rinds and hints of rosemary honey. Extremely satiny and luxurious- liquid velvet in your glass. Robert Parker gave the 2011 Anada 100pts. Serve 6-8 C, with Creme Brulee and crushed nuts, or simply on its own. You could cellar this til 2025. But life is short- why wait?

Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Okay, so I am weak when it comes to sweet sherries. I love the way they roll over your tongue with that viscous, unctuous, gooeyness and their exotic flavours. This one coats with Scottish marmalade, orange peel, raisins, honey and nuts yet it is not too cloying. Dreamy. Sit by the fire with a bowl of marcona almonds, organic dried apricots and a wedge of Quebec blue cheese.
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Wow! This is a gorgeous vintage Pedro Ximénez sherry! Vintage sherry is unique to say the least. amazing on the eyes, the nose and the palate. Viscous, creamy, nutty, candied orange peel, dried apricot, savoury, amber caramel. Tasting fantastic! Paired well with an extra aged cheddar cheese platter. If you are a sweet wine aficionado with a palate keen for quality Pedro Ximénez, stock up on this beauty, if you can find it. Tasted the 2014 vintage in March 2018. 96 points
Colette Martin rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Appearances: Dark amber and clear
Aromas: dried apricot and orange, honey, nutty
On the palate: Orange, apricot honey and caramel, toasted nuts
Viscous and smooth
Sweet but surprisingly fresh tasting
long orange and honey finish
Delicious.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Made from the Pedro Ximenez grapes which have been dried and then the resulting wine is aged in earthenware jars for at least 12 months. The resulting wine has lovely notes of orange marmalade, raisins, honey, and almonds. Full bodied and fairly sweet on the palate, making this a nice substitute for dessert, or ideal to pair with blue cheese or foie gras.
