VIEJISI FINO / OTHER: There is a new 2019 bottling of the NV Fino Capataz Solera de la Casa (not very explicit, marker L8295 on the back label). This is their very old Fino - averaging 12 years of age, which is the limit of life for the flor veil - that still has the biological notes in the foreground, esparto grass and iodine, with just a faint oxidative whiff of varnish and almonds. The palate felt softer than I anticipated, broader and velvety rather than pungent. There are full and half bottles, around 5,000 total. Drink Date: 2019-2024. Score - 92 (Luis GutiƩrrez, robertparker.com, June 28, 2019). - Community Wine Reviews

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
