Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich, ripe dark fruit aromas including blackberry and blackcurrant mix with pleasant barrel spices of vanilla and clove. Ripe and fruity palate echoes the nose with a favourable combination of dark fruit and baking spice. A strong finish makes this a winning wine at a very good price. Enjoy with Bolo de Carne, a Portuguese-style meat pie.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Interesting mineral nose of graphite and black pepper, accompanied by some wet clay. Lots of rich fruit still on the palate. Full bodied and smooth. Medium + finish. This is a big wine gone smooth! Try it with rich stews or risottos. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Interesting wine from Portugal, the Adega do Monte 2015 is crafted from Castelao (an indigenous grape), Aragonez and Trincadeira. The wine offers lovely aromas of dark plum, cherry, black pepper, clay dust, smoke, leather and oak. Medium-bodied with a herbal finish, this Portugese wine delivers freshness and supple tannins. Palate: plum, raspberry, dried herbs, wet gravel, black pepper, leather and oak. Enjoy.
Adega Do Monte Reserva 2015 is a robust red wine blend of Castelão, Aragonez and Trincadeira wine grapes and produced by João T. Matos Barbosa. Concentrated, juicy and intense with ripe black fruit, savoury herb and spice flavours. Enjoy now with grilled game sausages. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
