A juicy, full-bodied smooth red wine from California that's a Proprietary blend of classic red grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas of sweet blackberry, hickory smoke, bacon, and dark spices on the nose and palate of this richly concentrated wine. Ultra-dry and polished with a long finish. Decant for 1-2 hours and pair with a rare steak. A robust Californian red wine that's a Proprietary blend of classic red grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon. Consistently great year after year. Black fruit, toasty oak and dark spice follows through from the nose to the palate to the long finish. A great cellar candidate. Superb craftsmanship. Highly recommended.

Food pairings: hearty meat dishes.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
