Reviews and Ratings

Tara Leitch rated this wine as 81/100 with the following review:

A note of spice hits the nose when you first breathe in this wine and dark fruits carry through on the tongue when you taste it. It was a nice wine but I would advise that you decant it or let it breathe for maybe 20 minutes or so before you drink it. The tannins were mild but nonetheless there and unless you like that dry feel in your mouth you may prefer to let it breathe a little once it has been opened. That or you could let it sit a little longer in your wine fridge or cellar - those tannins will certainly allow it to age a little while longer.
It was a pleasant surprise for the price point - and the label was cheerful enough to brighten even the darkest day! (I have to say that is why I chose it - that and I love to explore Ontario's wines!)
I would suggest it be paired with BBQ steak, pizza or hearty cheeses - it can stand up to foods with bolder flavours.
Enjoy!
