A full-bodied, savoury, juicy red wine blend from Niagara that should be paired with, what else, burgers, Aromas of black currant and toasty oak. Nice price.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A blend of 70% Gamay Noir, 29% Pinot Noir, and 1% Merlot from the Niagara Peninsula, Burger Blend is becoming renowned for its food friendly and refreshing style that makes it ideally suited for enjoying with your favourite grilled grub. Inviting aromas and flavours of dark cherry, plum, raspberry, vanilla, cedar, herbs, and spice make this a very popular wine for hosting any summer gathering. The finest vintage of Burger Blend I recall tasting, this youthful wine is absolute dynamite when served slightly chilled with BBQ burgers, brisket, or tangy grilled chicken. Equally enjoyable throughout the fall with Autumn harvest meals, Thanksgiving turkey or ham, served at 18C for an easy-going red wine to complement those large family meals. Tasted September 2017. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Dry. Loads of juicy stewed red and black berries, black currant. Medium tannins, acidity. Balanced and approachable for those who appreciate Gamay blends. Pair with a burger or enjoy on its own. Tasted 2016 in July 2017. 87 points.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A Niagara take of Burgundy's passe-tout-grains. The Gamay Pinot blend a crowd pleasing light-medium red wine with a juicy mouthfeel, medium tannins, and lasting flavours of cherry and toasted oak. Enjoy with burgers of course! Grilled sausages are a good match as well. Tasted July 2017 by @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
