Reviews and Ratings

Neil Phillips rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Dark fruit still prevalent on the nose, plums and stewed blackberries, burning oak leaves, damp forest floor, hint of dark pepper.

Dark and brooding on the palate, this wine has aged well. Balanced fruit and acid, with earthy tones really coming through on the long finish. Well balanced for 14.5% ABV.

Tasted July, 2014.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Great wine, shows incredible depth, has evolved since the Spectator rated it. Black raspberry, smoke, smoked meat, not really a hit over the head, but the wine is in your face for sure. Great beam of acid and black cherry makes this wine sumptuous without being over the top. Delicious right out of the bottle, no decanting required. I'm 90 on this wine. (ottawawinejournal.com)

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
