Louis Bouillot Perle D'ivoire Crémant De Bourgogne Blanc de Blancs Brut, Burgundy A.C., France: Crisp and clean with toasty warmth and green apple refreshment. A steal of a deal. This bubbly is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Pair with fried chicken. Drink: 2015-2017. 48801 12% M 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 88/100. May 30, 2015 Best Value Sparkling Wine. Kim Crawford Pinot Noir 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: Beautifully balanced! This New Zealand Pinot Noir seems to get better every year, and this is no exception. Lovely cherry-berry flavours, yet not sweet. Great mouth-watering juiciness for a wide range of foods, yet not acidic. Superb craftsmanship. Highly recommended. Drink: 2013-2018. 626390 13.50% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 92/100. August 15, 2014 Top Rated Red Wine. Full Review
Luzón Crianza Selección 12 Meses 2008, Jumilla D.O., Spain: Attractive baked fruit on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, layered Spanish red wine. The grapes for this wine are sourced from low-yield vines, which results in a deeper, darker concentration in the flavour of the grapes and final wine. The winery is located inland in southeastern Spain: Jumilla is actually a semi-desert with a continental climate that produces very intense red wines. Drink: 2013-2017. 310219 14.50% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. September 13, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Magnificent Meat Pizza Wine Full Review
Leira Albarino 2013, Rías Baixas D.O., Spain: The appellation for this medium-bodied white wine is DO. Clean and crisp with refreshing aromas of chives, lime and herbal notes. Medium-bodied and food-friendly. Good acidity and minerality. This zesty white wine is very food friendly with a wide range of dishes, from salads to pasta. Drink: 2014-2016. 115816 12.50% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 89/100. September 27, 2014 Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review
Segura Viudas Heredad Brut Reserva Traditional Method Cava, D.O., Spain: Here's your sparkling wine for the holidays (and year round)! Terrific value in this well-made, toasty and refreshing bubbly from Spain that's a third of the price of Champagne. Segura is one of the most respected producers of Cava, the Spanish name for sparkling wine. Terrific earthy aromas mingle with toasted almond and some green apple. Great aperitif or try it with roast turkey, friend chicken, or yes, even potato chips. 558825 12% D 750 mL  $39.95 Score: 92/100. October 25, 2014 Top Rated Sparkling Wine. Martín Códax Burgáns Albariño 2012, Rias Baixas D.O., Spain: We don't see a lot of Albariño, that refreshing white wine from northern Portugal, on the liquor store shelves, so here's your chance to try it. This producer is very consistent and has a great reputation for zesty whites. Clean, crisp and fresh with bright lime-lemon aromas and mouth-watering white grapefruit flavours. Great aperitif or food companion. This vibrant white wine hails from the northern region of Spain where the climate maintains the crispness in style. Perfect for a wide range of dishes from fresh seafood to salads. Finishes with green apple and lime. Drink: 2013-2016. 945063 13% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 88/100. July 5, 2014 Best Value White Wine.
