Schubert Block B Pinot Noir 2011, Wairarapa, New Zealand: Big cherry-berry flavours with a touch of toasty oak and mocha for oak aging. Supple, smooth and almost full-bodied. No spring frosts during the 2011 vintage and favourable flowering were an ideal start to the season. Summer was windy warm and dry. 100% of the grapes were hand-picked and de-stemmed with a cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats left on the skins for 3 weeks.
