Drylands Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: Terrific lime and herbal notes: vibrant, zesty and refreshing. All that a sauvignon blanc should be, plus it's extremely versatile with food. Although this is medium-bodied, there's terrific intensity of flavour here with generous mouth-watering action on the palate. Try it with scallops. Waipara Hills Pinot Noir 2012, Central Otago, South Island, New Zealand: A fleshy dark fruited New Zealand Pinot Noir that sources grapes from the cool Waipara region located between Christchurch and Marlborough. Schubert Block B Pinot Noir 2011, Wairarapa, New Zealand: Big cherry-berry flavours with a touch of toasty oak and mocha for oak aging. Supple, smooth and almost full-bodied. No spring frosts during the 2011 vintage and favourable flowering were an ideal start to the season. Summer was windy warm and dry. 100% of the grapes were hand-picked and de-stemmed with a cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats left on the skins for 3 weeks. Fog Head Highlands Series Reserve Pinot Noir 2012, Monterey County, California, United States: Produced by Delicato Family Vineyards, this supple red wine offers sweet cherry-berry aromas and flavours with a medium-bodied and lovely balance. Monterey offers a cool ocean-moderated breezes that result in terrific Pinot Noir, among California's best.
