Redstone Winery Limestone Vineyard South Riesling 2012, Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A spectacular Riesling founded by one of Niagara's best producers Tawse. This is the first Redstone Riesling release from the south block of the Limestone Vineyard, a 14-year-old sustainably farmed block on Twenty Mile Bench. The 2012 vintage was warm and it shows in the pure fruit intensity and laser focus of this wine: white peach, lime zest and a deep core of minerality. I am thrilled with this first effort from Redstone, and anxiously look forward to future vintages. Cheers! Drink: 2014-2024. 381251 10% M 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 92/100. Santa Carolina Reserva De Familia Carmenère 2010, Rapel Valley, Chile: Robust and brooding with exceptional value, like the rest of the wines in its line-up. Big black fleshy fruit, loaded with toasty oak, tar and smoke. Endless, deep and rich. Discuss world domination. Drink: 2013-2017. 34942 15% XD 750 mL  $21.95 Score: 91/100. Thornbury Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: Grassy, herbal and fresh with mouth-awakening acidity. Great for salads and vegetarian dishes. Medium-bodied and oak-free with a crisp, clean, refreshing finish. This zesty white wine also works well as an aperitif. Drink: 2013-2015. 734798 13% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. August 16, 2014 Best Value White Wine. Venerated Vegetarian Wine Full Review
Robert Mondavi Winery Napa Valley Fumé Blanc 2012, Napa Valley, California, United States: Crisp, dry and fresh with a lemon-lime lift through the core. Very deft/light use of oak preserves the refreshment of this wine and its versatility with food. This wine is mostly Sauvignon Blanc and with a splash of Semillon. Sixty percent of the wine is barrel fermented, and then it's all aged sur lie in French oak for extra richness, creaminess and lovely dimension.  A very dry white wine that pairs well with seafood. Drink: 2013-2016. 221887 13.50% XD 750 mL  $39.95 Score: 91/100. August 2, 2014 Top Rated White Wine. Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review
