Schild Estate Shiraz 2010, Barossa Valley, Australia: Big fleshy blackberries and black plums roll off the nose followed by savoury goodness and mouth-watering juiciness on the palate. Layers of pleasure with a long finish. Some dark spice and smoke on the finish. Oh double yum. There's some dark spice, black fruit and deeply seated longing and desire on the finish. Wakefield Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Clare Valley, South Australia, Australia: A box office hit at the liquor store! This robust red wine at a great price offers tremendous value and bang for your buck. Attractive aromas of mint and blackberry on the nose. Juicy, full-bodied, rich and delicious on the palate. Wakefield is known for producing wines of outstanding value and quality. This is no exception. This particular vintage of this wine has been awarded several honours in the value-priced wine category for a number of international competitions. Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand: One of New Zealand's best known (and most loved) Sauvignon Blancs, Kim Crawford delivers well above it's price point. This half bottle size is great when you only want a couple of glasses of wine, and it offers terrific lemon and lime brightness. The full bottle size is also available in liquor stores now. Winemaker Anthony blends different vineyard parcels of the grapes, like they do in Champagne to create more complexity and interesting flavours. Cathedral Cellar Kwv Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, W.O., Paarl, South Africa: Vintages Wine Panel: This classy Cab from the Cape is loaded with aromas of cassis, cherry, violets, smoky oak and savory herbs. It’s dry and well-crafted with juicy rich flavors and firm tannins. My note: A gorgeous nose of cassis, briary, blackberry and smoke. What an incredible wine for the money. La Crema Pinot Noir 2012, Sonoma Coast, California, United States: This is the half bottle (375 ml) format of this wine. The full sized 750-ml is also in this release. Fleshy cherry and dark spice with a long, naughty finish. Medium-bodied and satin smooth like lingerie. A supple, smooth red wine with cherry-berry mouth-filling wonder and flavours. Just enough oak for hedonists. Layered yet not heavy. A consistently great producer of classic Californian pinot noir year after year. Love this silky Pinot Noir! It seems to get better every year. Beautiful cherries and field raspberry notes roll in first, then there's fresh earth aromas after a spring rain followed by some baking spices and a long finish.
