Quails' Gate Estate Winery Chardonnay 2012, Okanagan Valley, Bc V.Q.A., Canada: A full-bodied and generous Chardonnay with layers of ripe peach and green apple flavour. Some attractive toasted almond on the finish of this BC classic white wine. The finish is scented with melon and vanilla smoke. Lovely! Drink: 2013-2018. 377770 14% D 750 mL  $20.95 Score: 92/100. November 15, 2014 Top Rated White Wine. Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
Fielding Estate Winery Viognier 2012, V.Q.A., Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, Canada: A vibrant, exotic and classic Viognier with Niagara (and Fielding's) distinct signature. Robust and flavourful, floral yet there's a backbone. Finishes with spice-dusted white peach. Drink: 2013-2016. 142323 13.50% D 750 mL  $25.95 Score: 90/100. March 15, 2014 Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review
Zenato Lugana Riserva Sergio Zenato 2011, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: An exotic and delicious white wine, with mouth-filling texture and some toasty oak. Lemon lanolin richness. Will cellar, but why wait? Try it tonight with seafood. Drink: 2013-2017. 928218 13.50% XD 750 mL  $50.00 Score: 92/100. March 15, 2014 Top Rated White Wine. Scrumptious Seafood Wine Full Review
Jermann Pinot Grigio 2012, Venezia Giulia, Friuli I.G.T., Italy: This is one of the best, if not the best, Italian Pinot Grigios I've tasted. Sure, the price reflects that but it's worth seeing how vibrant and full of character Pinot Grigio can be with this benchmark wine. Zesty, refreshing and alive in the glass. Aromas of white peach, lime and white grapefruit. Incredibly refreshing and mouth-watering. Great as an aperitif or with many dishes, from seafood to salad. Great structure and finish. Says winemaker Silvio Jermann: "Wines should move us, prompt our emotions and have a sense of authenticity." Amen. Drink: 2013-2016. 117093 12.50% D 750 mL  $37.95 Score: 93/100. March 15, 2014 Top Rated White Wine. Splendid Salad Wine Full Review
Giordano Collection Primitivo Di Manduria Primitivo 2011, Puglia D.O.C., Italy: Aromas of big juicy purple plums and blueberries and mocha, very Zinfandel like, which makes sense given the grape connection to Primitivo. A supple and full-bodied red wine with a good-natured heart of hedonism. The Giordano family has been making wine since 1900 in the warm climate of Puglia in southern Italy. Perfect for barbecues with people you like. Drink: 2013-2017. 51797 14.50% D 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 90/100. March 15, 2014 Best Value Red Wine. Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Marlborough, New Zealand: Zesty and fresh with a lime-lemon lift. More citrus than grassy with some herbal underlay. Winemaker Anthony says he blend different parcels of the grapes as they do in Champagne style. Good tomato leaf and minerality on the finish. Part of Vintages Essentials. Drink: 2013-2015. 35386 13.50% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 90/100. March 15, 2014 Splendid Salad Wine Full Review
Mulderbosch Chenin Blanc 2011, Western Cape W.O., South Africa: Chenin Blanc is the great undiscovered, under-valued white wine of South Africa -- and the world. You must try this once. This is a great example with seductive aromas of Asian pear and something I can only describe as black apricot. Oak imparts baked bread and wraps this wine beautifully. Baking spices on the finish of this exotically wonderful wine. Drink: 2014-2017. 675421 13.50% D 750 mL  $14.95 Score: 91/100. March 15, 2014 Best Value White Wine. Glorious Game Wine Full Review
La Crema Pinot Noir 2012, Los Carneros, California, United States: Love this silky Pinot Noir! It seems to get better every year. Beautiful cherries and field raspberry notes roll in first, then there’s fresh earth aromas after a spring rain followed by some baking spices and a long finish. This Pinot has been one of my favourites for years. Satin seduction in a glass. Some comforting mocha on the finish. Drink: 2014-2019. 58024 14.50% D 750 mL  $45.95 Score: 93/100. March 15, 2014 Top Rated Red Wine. Plush Pork Wine Full Review
