This winery has been making classic wine in the heart of the Barossa Valley since 1944. In Australia, this blend of Shiraz and Grenache grapes along with a dash of the flagship Portuguese grape Touriga Nacional is called the Gamekeeper’s Reserve. Tommasi Arele Parziale Appassimento 2011, I.G.T., Veronese, Italy: Love the black pepper juiciness of this red! Fleshy black cherries with some tart blackberries mingled in. Absolutely delicious! The grapes for this wine dried for a month, in the traditional method. This gives incredible intensity and depth to the wine. The traditional Corvina and Oseleta grapes are used in the blend.
