Château Hyot 2020, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, Bordeaux A.C., France: From the Castillon Côtes De Bordeaux wine region, Château Hyot 2020 is a great value Merlot-driven red wine blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc in support. Produced by Alain Aubert, prop., the wine is dry, medium-plus-bodied and rich with dark plum, cassis, pepper spice and flinty mineral notes from beginning to end. Tannins are fine and firm, but the wine has the structure, acidity and fruit to handle it. Give it some time to marry and mellow. An amazing value Bordeaux at $16 to drink from 2025.
