Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz 2013, Coonawarra, South Australia, Australia: This is what elegance and restraint tastes like from Australia: French grammar school, Australian graduate studies by the consummate gentleman winemaker Peter Gago. Lovely aromas of mint, cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry with just enough toasty warmth from the oak. The 2013 vintage of Bin 128 is terrific, but don't expect a fruit bomb. Terrific layering, depth and complexity with a long finish. Pair with rare filet mignon. Drink: 2015-2019. 509919 14% XD 750 mL  $61.00 Score: 93/100. September 5, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine Full Review
Antinori Solaia 2011, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: Drop-dead gorgeous! One of the world’s great wines to try before you die. Generous aromas of dark fruit, exotic spice, mint, and savoury meaty notes. Such incredible resonance across the palate: the flavours just play with each other for your pleasure. Then it all finishes in a spectacular fireworks of flavour and hedonism. Drink: 2015-2030. 987586 14.50% XD 750 mL  $251.95 Score: 94/100. April 18, 2015 Top Rated Red Wine. Gorgeous Gift Wine Full Review
La Crema Pinot Noir 2013, Sonoma Coast, California, United States: Fleshy cherry and dark spice with a long, naughty finish on this California Pinot Noir. Medium-bodied and satin smooth like lingerie. A supple red wine with cherry-berry mouth-filling wonder and flavours. Just enough oak for hedonists. Layered yet not heavy. This pinot has been one of my favourites for years. Satin seduction in a glass. Pair with roasted turkey or chicken. Drink: 2015-2018. 719435 13.90% D 750 mL  $39.95 Score: 93/100. October 1, 2016 Top Rated Red Wine. Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
Kenwood Vineyards Jack London Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2012, Sonoma Mountain, Sonoma County, California, United States: A robust Californian red wine from a consistently good producer. The 2012 vintage was a solid one. Pair with wild game meats. Drink: 2015-2018. 470500 14.50% D 750 mL  $59.95 Score: 90/100. April 2, 2016 Heavenly Hamburger Wine Full Review
