Piemonte Cantina San Pancrazio Brachetto 2008, D.O.C., Piedmont, Italy: Vintages Wine Panel: This exotic sparkling red from Piedmont couples well with strawberry tart or dark chocolate. My note: What a delightful surprise! Lovely notes of fleshy ripe strawberries and raspberries with a light effervescence. Slightly sweet but perfectly balanced with the bubbles and acidity. J. Lohr October Night Chardonnay 2010, Arroyo Seco, Monterey County, California, United States: The grapes were picked in late October to achieve more concentration of flavour. Lovely aromas of melon, butterscotch, toasted almond and green apple. The grape clone they se in this wine is called the musqué clone in Ontario. Highly recommended.
