Gianni Gagliardo Barolo 2015, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: Gianni Gagliardo 2015 Barolo is earthy on the nose with violets, flinty and nutty aromas. Dry and silky on the palate with dried pink roses, violets, ripe black cherry, raspberry, cedar brush and cold tea flavours. Tannins are ripe. The sustainably-farmed Nebbiolo grapes were sourced from La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, Serralunga and Verduno and were aged for six months in small, previous-use French oak barriques with 27 months in 3,500 litre bottes prior to bottling and release.
