Excellent value under $17. The Jip Jip rocks are an outcrop of 350 million year old red granite near the family's vineyard in the heart of the Padthway region near Morambro Creek. Domaine Lafage Bastide Miraflors Syrah Vieilles Vignes Grenache 2019, Côtes du Roussillon, Roussillon A.P., France: Bastide Miraflors 2019 is a juicy Old Vines red wine blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from the Côtes du Roussillon wine region. Full-bodied, plushy and vibrant on the palate with ripe dark berry, toasty oak spice, wild herbs and meaty flavours with a vibrant finish. Tannins are structured and pleasantly grippy. San Felice Il Grigio Chianti Classico 2018, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: San Felice Il Grigio RIserva 2018 is a full-bodied, vibrant Chianti Classico labelled with Titian's famous painting entitled "Man in Armour." Dry with red berry fruit, black cherry, earthy mushroom, wild herbs and well-integrated oak spice on the palate. Layers of flavours and nicely balanced. Pour with a meaty lasagne. Drink or hold. Marchesi di Barolo Gavi Del Comune Di Gavi 2019, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: From Marchesi di Barolo, Gavi di Gavi 2019 is a crisp and zesty white wine with white florals, fresh lemon and ripe stone fruit aromas on the nose. Dry, medium-bodied with white florals, blanched almond, lemon zest, fresh pear, peach balanced with bright acidity. An excellent example and great value Gavi, made for seafood and salads. Gianni Gagliardo Barolo 2015, Piedmont D.O.C.G., Italy: Gianni Gagliardo 2015 Barolo is earthy on the nose with violets, flinty and nutty aromas. Dry and silky on the palate with dried pink roses, violets, ripe black cherry, raspberry, cedar brush and cold tea flavours. Tannins are ripe. The sustainably-farmed Nebbiolo grapes were sourced from La Morra, Monforte d’Alba, Serralunga and Verduno and were aged for six months in small, previous-use French oak barriques with 27 months in 3,500 litre bottes prior to bottling and release.
