Laurent Miquel Nord Sud Viognier 2015, Pays D'oc, Languedoc I.G.P., France: Although Viognier is more traditionally associated with the northern Rhône Valley, it's finding lovely expression in the Midi region, a bit more to the south in France. Very pretty French white wine, with floral notes, melon and lychee. Terrific minerality. Medium-bodied with balanced acidity. Viognier is such an aromatic white wine grape, perfectly suited to Asian and Thai dishes, as well as to a wide variety of mild to medium curries and spices. Try it lobster in melted butter.
