Limited Edition Syrah 2005, Mendoza, Argentina: My favorite wine in a terrific line-up from this producer. Generous, balanced and plush. Aged 12 months in French oak. Aromas of violets, cinnamon and blackberry. Superb. 14% D 750 mL  $15.00 Score: 96/100. June 12, 2009 Full Review
Zuccardi Tito 2013, La Consulta, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina  402958 15% XD 750 mL  $34.95. March 3, 2015 Full Review
Tenuta Di Ghizzano Veneroso 2009, I.G.T., Tuscany, Italy: Love it! Classic and structured and intriguing. Black fruit and smoky mystery on the nose. The palate floods the senses with black plums, anise and dark spices. Considerable structure, complexity and concentration. This will do well in the cellar, but it'll be difficult to wait. The wine is a blend is 70% Sangiovese and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Drink: 2014-2022. 103218 13.50% D 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 96/100. March 16, 2013 Top Rated Red Wine. Middle Earth Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Nelson, South Island, New Zealand: One wine to rule them all, one wine to watch JRR Tolkien's trilogy! Grassy but not too herbal, just enough to get you to Mordor. Pour Gandolph a second glass and listen to his wisdom. It will require that you leave the Shire. Produced by Winelord Ltd. (not Sauron), you don't have to travel to the ends of the earth to find a good value New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc . Yes this is a wine named for JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, which was filmed in beautiful New Zealand (and has since generated an estimated $100 million extra revenue in tourism as a result). Middle-Earth Vineyards was established originally more than half a century ago as a dairy farm. In 1996, the owners converted to grape farming and launched their first wine in 2012. Pair this lime-zesty SB with fresh seafood. Drink: 2016-2016. 391987 14% XD 750 mL  $18.95 Score: 92/100. November 26, 2016 Best Value White Wine. Charming Grilled Chicken Wine Full Review
