Cousiño Macul Antiguas Reservas Chardonnay 2013, Maipo Valley, Chile: Great value for this full-bodied, toasty Chilean Chardonnay. In 1969, the Cousiño-Macul winery made the first Antiguas Reservas Chardonnay, a trademarked designation reserved for the producer's best Chardonnay from the vintage. A small part of this white wine was matured for 7 months in small French oak barrels, and an even smaller amount was put through a malolactic fermentation to soften some of the acidity. Pair with veal chops. Drink: 2013-2016. 730044 13.50% D 750 mL $15.95 Score: 88/100. April 4, 2015
