This robust red is a blend of Nebbiolo, Cabernet and Merlot grapes. his Piedmontese DOC region, Langhe, allows the most grape varieties in the blend as well as various winemaking techniques, which allows true stars like this producer to take their artistry to a new level. Gaja Ca'marcanda Promis 2010, I.G.T. Toscana, Estate Btld, Tuscany, Italy: This wine is a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Sangiovese grapes. It’s a beautiful expression of fleshy ripe blackberries, fig, cassis, violets and sundried tomato. A mouth-coating texture and a lively acidity make for a delicious interplay of textures and flavors across the palate. This is one of Italy’s best producers.
