Boutari Grande Reserve Xinomavro 2010, Naoussa P.D.O., Greece: Serve at 18 degrees with meats and cheeses. Juicy with attractive mouth-watering acidity with savoury notes of dried herbs and red and black fruit. Elegant wine for many dishes. Really worth trying. Great price. Some spice and smoke on the finish. Xinomavro food pairings: waldorf salad with sweet cranberries, minestrone soup, quinoa, herb and onion burgers. Malivoire Wine Company Guilty Men White 2016, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: An intriguing and rich white wine with layers of flavour and complexity, especially for this price. This is a Niagara white wine blend of Riesling and Savignon Blanc. It's aromatic offering notes of white florals and fresh pear with smoke. Made by a much respected producer operating in a gravity-flow winery and farming sustainably. Food pairings: poultry, white fish, oysters and other seafood, foie gras, spicy Asian dishes. Westcott Vineyards Chardonnay 2015, Vinemount Ridge, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: This lovely, full-bodied Chardonnay offers seductive aromas of toasted bread, green apple and smoke. Very Burgundian in its balance and Meursault in its elegance. This wine was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. Pair with roasted chicken. Chardonnay food pairings: Asian dishes with black bean, steamed mahi mahi, pasta with tomato sauce, pork tenderloin.
