Tommasi Arele Parziale Appassimento 2011, I.G.T., Veronese, Italy: Love the black pepper juiciness of this red! Fleshy black cherries with some tart blackberries mingled in. Absolutely delicious! The grapes for this wine dried for a month, in the traditional method. This gives incredible intensity and depth to the wine. The traditional Corvina and Oseleta grapes are used in the blend. A balancing acidity is perfect and makes this robust red even more versatile with a variety of hearty meat dishes. Food pairings: pasta, light meat dishes, light or hard cheese, game.
