Note: This batch of wine reviews is not part of the bi-weekly Vintages Releases. Instead, it's a collection of wines outside the Vintages section in store (general list) or wines sent to me directly from wineries that may not yet be available in liquor stores. Click on the Winery or Wine Agency link to get more info.

Please note that our reviews are based on a variety of sources: samples sent to our team, those we purchase in store, tasting events, those tasted in restaurants and while traveling domestically and internationally.

Other Wines/Drinks

François Lurton Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc Zero, France: This is your Savvy Sommelier Selection, François Lurton Fumées Blanches Zero, a 100% Sauvignon Blanc with just 0.1% alcohol. You get lifted aromas of lime and passionfruit. The name Fumées Blanches means white smoke in French, inspired by the morning mist that blankets the vineyards, which makes me think of standing on a hilltop wearing cashmere and staring longingly out at the vineyard rows. It has a touch of sweetness that balances beautifully with that citrus zing. The key here is that it comes from a highly respected French winemaker, so your guest will recognize the quality pedigree. It's available in SAQ stores and online. XD 750 mL $13.70 Score: 90/100. February 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

White Wine

Jackson-Triggs Proprietors' Selection Zero Rosé, Canada: This is perfect for unexpected visits from those with tiny little chaos agents and their sticky fingers. This is the bottle that says, ‘Yes, come in,’ without trying to clean up first. It’s pretty, pink, perky and completely alcohol-free at 0% with lovely strawberry and raspberry notes and a crisp finish. Jackson-Triggs has nailed the zero-proof category. Because it’s zero alcohol, it’s drive-home friendly, proving you can have your rosé and drink it too. The pink is celebratory without asking anything of you emotionally. It quietly upgrades the moment. Less can taste like more. New research from Jackson-Triggs reveals that nearly two-thirds (65%) of Canadian drinkers are planning to moderate their alcohol consumption in 2026, officially making moderation a movement rather than a moment. Moderation options must deliver uncompromising flavour. In fact, 73 per cent of Canadians who drink alcohol (aged 19+) say taste is most important to them when considering a light or non-alcoholic beverage. Survival Kit Tip: This is your fridge door staple. Keep one bottle chilled for these drop-in moments. Once opened, finish within a week for best freshness. This is available from winerack.com. Drink: 2026 - 2027 750 mL $11.99 Score: 90/100. February 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

François Lurton Fumées Blanches Sauvignon Blanc, France: Francois Lurton Fumées Blanches with just 11.5% alcohol, which is low considering many red wines from warm climates now clock in at 14% or higher. You get lifted aromas of lime and passionfruit. The name Fumées Blanches means white smoke in French, inspired by the morning mist that blankets the vineyards, which makes me think of standing on a hilltop wearing cashmere and staring longingly out at the vineyard rows. The palate is crisp and flavourful with lingering citrus zest and a gorgeous minerality. Now here is my secret weapon for entertaining wine lovers: stock the same label in both versions. This is hostess-level chess, not checkers. We’re not fooling around! Drink: 2026 - 2028 472555 11.5% D 750 mL $17.00 Score: 92/100. February 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Jackson-Triggs Proprietors Selection Light Rosé, Canada: Jackson-Triggs Proprietors’ Selection Light Rosé is completely on-trend with the move toward lower-alcohol options. You get delightful aromas and flavours of strawberry and tropical fruit in a fresh, off-dry style. A bright, refreshing rosé that opens with lively aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and watermelon, accented by subtle floral notes. The palate is light-bodied, dry and crisp, with juicy red fruit, vibrant acidity and 11.5% alcohol creating a breezy, easy-drinking finish. Serve it well-chilled to bring out its energetic fruit and refreshing charm. It's the healthier choice that still feels like a treat – you deserve nice things! Fascinating fact: Jackson-Triggs crafts this Light Rosé with a focus on approachability and balance, making it feel like summer in a glass on even the chilliest days. This is available from lcob.com and winerack.com. Light Rosé food pairings: grilled trout, pork tenderloin, seared scallops. 13907 8.5% M 750 mL $12.95 Score: 90/100. February 2026. Best Value White Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
