Red Wine

Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2023, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia V.Q.A., Canada: Quails' Gate has built its reputation on terroir-driven wines from the Okanagan, and this Pinot Noir shows that focus. Red fruit sits at the centre, with a savoury, herbal note and a whisper of spice running underneath. Fine tannins keep the texture silky, while balanced acidity gives it lift. There's real potential to develop further over the next several years. Herb-crusted chicken, roast lamb or a slow-braised game dish would all be lovely matches. Pinot Noir food pairings: herb crusted chicken, roasted lamb, savoury slow cooked game. Drink: 2026 - 2033 585760 14% XD 750 mL $36.95 Score: 91/100. July 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

White Wine

Henry of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Chardonnay 2024, Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: Henry of Pelham draws this Chardonnay from vines planted by hand back in the 1980s, some of the oldest on the property. Orange rind and roasted peach aromas lead into a core of citrus and brioche-like richness. Bright acidity and a whisper of toasted oak spice keep the finish long and creamy rather than heavy. It's a Chardonnay built for special-occasion seafood. Lobster bisque, roast chicken or sweet pea soup would all make fine partners. Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, lobster in butter, sweet pea soup, smoked fish. Drink: 2026 - 2029 616466 14% XD 750 mL $34.95 Score: 93/100. July 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
