White Wine
Bortoluzzi Pinot Grigio 2024, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Bortoluzzi's Pinot Grigio from Veneto is an aromatic, medium-bodied white wine offering notes of acacia blossom, green apple, tarragon, and pink grapefruit. This dry wine shows subtle white pepper and more texture than expected from lees aging, which will continue to integrate over the next two years and beyond. Serve it well chilled with pesto orzo, where the wine’s lively character complements the herbed sauce, or pair it with green salads topped with feta, as its crisp acidity balances the briny cheese. Winemaker Marco Bortoluzzi crafts this versatile wine from vines aged ten to fifteen years, delivering remarkable freshness alongside golden guava, citrus peel, and coastal minerality. Its lean, graceful frame makes it one of Italy’s most food-friendly styles. This bright, persistent Pinot Grigio represents excellent quality and will drink beautifully through 2028 and beyond. Pinot Grigio food pairings: pesto orzo, veal cutlets, green salads topped with Feta cheese. Drink: 2026 - 2028 27621 13.5% XD 750 mL $22.95 Score: 91/100. August 2026.
