White Wine
Stina 2024, Central And South Dalmatia P.D.O., Croatia: Stina's Cuvée White from Central and South Dalmatia is a lively, medium-bodied white wine blending 70% Pošip, 20% Vugava and 10% Chardonnay with notes of wild oregano, fresh blossoms, quince and maritime mineral tones. This dry wine displays wonderfully fragrant character and crisp texture that will continue to develop over the next six years. Serve it well chilled with chicken Alfredo as the wine's concentrated profile complements the cream sauce, or pair it with steamed mussels where the wine's energetic nature balances the briny shellfish. Winemaker Mate Miljanic crafts this distinctive Croatian white shaped by the rugged, stony soils of Brac island, revealing tangerine, ripe apricot and fresh herbaceous nuances. The wine's floral aromatics lend elegance while its zingy character delivers a velvety and layered experience. This evocative white will pair nicely with buzara (mussels and scampi cooked in herbed broth) or crab cakes and represents excellent quality and will drink beautifully through 2032. Food pairings: chicken Alfredo, steamed mussels, grilled chicken breasts. Drink: 2026 - 2032 32035 12.5% XD 750 mL $21.95 Score: 89/100. March 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
Red Wine
San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo Di Manduria 2019, Puglia D.O.P., Italy: San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria from Puglia is a rich, full-bodied red offering aromas of sun-dried fig, roasted espresso, and hints of sweet baking spice. It's dry with supple tannins and concentrated fruit. Serve it at room temperature with osso buco as the wine's opulent texture and layered depth will enhance the braised veal and rich sauce beautifully, or pair it with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano where the wine's intensity and persistent finish will complement the cheese's crystalline, nutty complexity perfectly. Winemakers Caterina Bellanova and Davide Ragusa, a talented young oenologist who studied in Florence and developed his skills during harvests abroad, craft this wine from 60-year-old bush-trained vines planted in the Valle del Sessantanni vineyard on iron-rich red soils over limestone. Founded in 1962 when 19 vine growers whose families had farmed for generations came together to follow their dream, Cantine San Marzano now represents over 1,200 top-quality growers, and this iconic wine aged 12 months in French and American oak has transformed worldwide perception of Puglian wines. Enjoy now or cellar for 2-4 years. Primitivo Di Manduria food pairings: osso buco, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, wild boar stew. Drink: 2026 - 2030 38112 14.5% XD 750 mL $39.95 Score: 88/100. March 2026.
