White Wine

J. de Villebois Sauvignon Blanc 2024, Val De Loire, Loire I.G.P., France: J. de Villebois' Sauvignon Blanc from Val de Loire, Loire is a blissful, medium-bodied white wine crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc with notes of elderflower, cut grass, passion fruit and Meyer lemon. This dry wine displays tidy mineral note and rippling acidity that will continue to integrate over the next two years. Serve it well chilled with green salads topped with goat cheese and warm baby beets as the wine's vibrant character balances the tangy cheese, or pair it with fish tacos where the wine's briny finish complements the fresh toppings. Winemaker Nicolas de Villebois crafts this elegant wine with remarkable purity, revealing ripe apple, citrus zest and dried oregano complexity alongside stony minerality and a citrusy, maritime finish. The wine's simmering acidity makes it wonderfully food-friendly and very drinkable. This fresh, excellent-value Sauvignon Blanc earned 95 points at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards and represents outstanding quality and will drink beautifully through 2028. Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: green salads topped with goat cheese and warm baby beats, quiches, brunch fare, fish tacos. Drink: 2026 - 2028 15774 12.5% XD 750 mL $18.95 Score: 90/100. February 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Red Wine

Pasqua Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore 2022, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Pasqua's Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore from Veneto is a rich, full-bodied red wine offering notes of black cherry, cocoa nibs, clove, and juniper berry. This dry wine shows plush texture and generous fruit that will continue to evolve over the next six years. Serve it at room temperature with grilled ribeye steak, where the wine’s bold character matches the marbled beef, or pair it with pasta Bolognese, as its spiced oak nuances complement the meat sauce. Winemaker Riccardo Tedeschi uses the traditional ripasso method, referencing the wine on dried Amarone grape skins to add depth and concentration. Its layers of mulberry and espresso-cacao flavors make it effortlessly approachable. This juicy, silky Valpolicella represents excellent value and will drink beautifully through 2032. Ripasso Valpolicella Superiore food pairings: steak, ribs, pasta with a Bolognese sauce, grilled veggies, turkey, pasta. Drink: 2026 - 2032 203968 13.5% D 750 mL $24.95 Score: 90/100. February 2026. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
