Red Wine

Albert Glas Pinot Noir 2023, Pfalz Q.B.A., Germany: Albert Glas Pinot Noir from Pfalz is a delicate, light to medium-bodied red offering aromas of raspberry, cranberry, and subtle hints of fresh herbs. It's dry with refreshing acidity and silky tannins. It's dry with refreshing acidity and silky tannins. Serve it lightly chilled with roasted duck breast as the wine's bright red fruit and subtle spice will complement the rich, savory meat beautifully, or pair it with mushroom risotto where the wine's earthy undertones and fresh character will enhance the dish's creamy umami flavors perfectly. Third-generation winemaker Dominik Glas follows his grandfather Albert's traditional methods, hand-harvesting grapes and gently fermenting them in 600-liter open-top bins with manual punchdowns before aging the wine in a combination of local Pfalz oak barrels (80%) and French oak (20%) for twelve to eighteen months. Founded in 1958 with just 2.5 hectares of vineyards in the southern Palatinate, Weingut Albert Glas has remained a small family operation dedicated to creating wines that offer "joyful pleasures to drink down to the last sip." Enjoy now through 2027. Pinot Noir food pairings: roasted duck breast, mushroom risotto, charcuterie board. Sparkling Wine

La gioiosa Brut Rosé Prosecco 2024, Prosecco D.O.C., Italy: La Gioiosa Brut Rosé Prosecco from the Prosecco DOC region is a delicate, light-bodied sparkling wine offering aromas of wild strawberry, rose petal, and hints of red currant. It's off-dry with lively bubbles and refreshing acidity. Serve it well chilled with smoked salmon canapés as the wine's delicate fruit and effervescence will complement the rich, silky fish beautifully, or pair it with berry-topped pancakes at brunch where the wine's gentle sweetness and bright character will enhance the fresh fruit flavors perfectly. The Moretti Polegato family, recognized as one of post-war Italy's business leaders by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for popularizing Prosecco worldwide, founded La Gioiosa in 1974 and named it after Treviso's ancient designation "Marca Gioiosa et Amorosa"—meaning "the joyous and amorous land"—celebrating the province's lush vineyards and warm hospitality. The winery employs an innovative technique of chilling grape must to near-freezing temperatures immediately after harvest and preserving it cold until fermentation, ensuring exceptional freshness in every bottle. Enjoy now or cellar for 2-4 years. Brut Rosé Prosecco food pairings: smoked salmon canapés, berry-topped pancakes, prosciutto-wrapped melon.
