Red Wine

Borsao Berola 2019, Campo De Borja D.O., Spain: From Campo De Borja wine region, Borsao Berola 2019 is a great value Grenache and Syrah red wine blend at $19. Dry, full-bodied, fruity and concentrated with blackberry, dark fruits, toasty oak and pepper spice flavours with a kiss of mocha on the finish, grapes were sourced from high-altitude vineyards up to 700 metres above sea level. The finished wine spent 14 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels. Berola is the original name for the 12th century monastery of Veruela when the land was first granted to Cistercian monks to tend and plant as vineyards. Established in 1958, Bodegas Borsao now includes three coops with some 620 winegrowers who cultivate over 2,430 hectares of vines.Pair it with lamb shanks braised in red wine and roasted garlic, or try it alongside grilled lamb lollipops for a casual dinner.
