Red Wine

Mayu Appassimento Gran Reserva Carmenère 2021, Elqui Valley D.O., Chile: Mayu’s appassimento-style Carmenère unveils tobacco leaf, mushroom and sun-dried cherry aromas, a testament to its on-vine drying. Pair with barbecued lamb ribs or an aged Gouda and fig-compote board for an indulgent contrast. Carmenère food pairings: hearty meat dishes, roast pork, turkey. Kellerei Bozen Chardonnay 2023, Südtirol Alto Adige D.O.C., Italy: Cantina Bolzano’s high-elevation Chardonnay glimmers with ripe mango, honeydew and orange-blossom scents. Stainless-steel fermentation preserves its bright acidity and pure tropical-fruit flavors, all anchored by a flinty, saline edge. The finish is crisp, mouthwatering and elegantly fresh. Try it with thyme-roasted pork skewers or butternut-squash risotto. Chardonnay food pairings: cold roast chicken sandwiches, smoked ham and cheese platter, fish tacos.
