Zenato Valpolicella Superiore 2021, Veneto D.O.C., Italy: Zenato 2021 Valpolicella Superiore is great value at $19. Dry, medium-bodied and perfumed with tart cherry, red currant, earthy violets, spicy and camphor notes lingering on the palate, this easy to love Valpo is produced from Corvina Veronese with Rondinella and Corvinone grapes in support. Tannins are well-integrated. Founded in 1960, Zenato is one of the most trusted names in all of wine industry. For more than half a century, Zenato has concentrated on making premium wines in Veneto. Château de Beaucastel Coudoulet de Beaucastel Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2023, Côtes Du Rhône, Rhône A.C., France: Château de Beaucastel, Coudoulet De Beaucastel 2023 from Famille Perrin is a refined white blend from the Côtes du Rhône, shaped by two distinct terroirs. A mix of 30% Bourboulenc, 30% Marsanne, 30% Viognier, and a touch of Clairette, this dry, medium-bodied wine offers layered complexity. Hand-harvested grapes undergo fermentation in both oak barrels and stainless-steel tanks, followed by aging in the same vessels to enhance texture and depth. Fragrant with ripe pear, soft stone fruit, and a lively citrus zest, the palate is juicy and persistent, delivering freshness with a long, balanced finish.
