White Wine

El Enemigo Chardonnay 2023, Mendoza, Argentina: El Enemigo 2023 Chardonnay, crafted by Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena, is a bold and expressive high-altitude white from Gualtallary. Sourced from vines over 20 years old, this dry, full-bodied Chardonnay is perfumed with ripe stone fruit, bright lemon zest, and a distinct saline minerality. A touch of toasty oak spice rounds out the fresh, textured palate, adding depth and intrigue. Hand-harvested and fermented in 500-liter French oak barrels (35% new) with native yeasts, the wine undergoes an extended aging process under a yeast cap for 12 months, allowing for remarkable complexity and evolution in the bottle. Outstanding now, it will continue to mature beautifully into the early 2030s. For a great pairing, try it with seafood chowder or roasted chicken. Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, pork tenderloin, seafood chowder. Drink: 2025 - 2032 482984 14.3% XD 750 mL $29.95 Score: 92/100. May 2025. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Red Wine

Isole e Olena Cepparello 2021, Tuscany I.G.T., Italy: Isole e Olena Cepparello 2021 is a commanding, full-bodied Super Tuscan crafted entirely from Sangiovese. First introduced in 1980, it stands among the pioneers of the category. Sourced from heritage Sangiovese vines in the northwestern Chianti Classico region, its fruit thrives in high-altitude galestro soils at 1,500 feet. The wine matures for up to 20 months in French oak, 30% of which is new, deepening its character. On the palate, it offers concentrated black cherry, juicy plum, floral notes, and earthy undertones with refined tannins that promise further development. Best from 2028 to 2045, it pairs beautifully with braised short ribs or aged Pecorino cheese. Food pairings: chicken Kiev, veal parmesan, vegetarian pizza. Drink: 2025 - 2031 28768 13.5% XD 750 mL $186.95 Score: 100/100. May 2025. Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
