Red Wine

Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos 2022, Bierzo D.O., Spain: From the Bierzo wine region, Descendientes de J. Palacios Pétalos 2022 is produced from mostly Old Vines Mencia (between 40 to 90 years of age) with 10% white wine grapes and 5% local red grapes. The wine was fermented in large old oak cask, then aged for eight months in new French oak barriques, followed by eight months in neutral oak barrels. Fresh with fine herbs, red berry, mineral and spicy aromas and flavours on the palate, it is velvety-tannined and very easy-to-love. Grapes were sourced from Corullón and Villafranca del Bierzo as well as Viariz, Hornija, Valtuille de Abajo and Otero districts in the Bierzo wine region. Enjoy it now through 2029. Umani Ronchi Casal Di Serra Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi 2023, Marche D.O.C.G., Italy: Umani Ronchi Casal Di Serra Superiore Classico 2023 Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi is produced from sustainably grown grapes from the Marche wine region. Excellent value at $19, the wine is bone-dry, medium-bodied and so fresh now with green apple, bright lemon-lime zest and minerally notes with a kiss of honey nut crisp and textured on the palate. Chill and enjoy it with a lemony pasta dish topped with black truffle shavings. Verdicchio Dei Castelli Di Jesi food pairings: calamari, sous-vide octopus, steamed shellfish, grilled chicken breasts.
