Red Wine

Gérard Bertrand An 990 Fitou Grenache Carignan 2021, Fitou , Midi A.P., France: From the Fitou, Midi wine region, Gérard Bertrand An 990 is a lively, fruity, spicy Grenache and Carignan red wine blend and a fantastic value at $18. The year 990 on the label refers to the historical citadel of Fitou that once marked the boundary between the kingdoms of France and Aragon. Look for vibrant red berry, cherry, strawberry, wild herbs, and spicy flavours in this dry, medium-bodied, and velvety red wine blend with carbonic maceration. The wine matured for up to one year in French oak barrels. Pair it with grilled lamb chops or a rich ratatouille. Grenache Carignan food pairings: grilled pork chops, rack of BBQ ribs, veal Porterhouse, grilled lamb, lentil dishes. Drink: 2025 - 2027 403683 13.5% XD 750 mL $17.95 Score: 90/100. February 2025. Best Value Red Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart

Rosés

Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé 2023, Languedoc, Midi A.P., France: From the south of France a zesty Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah rosé with the emphasis on Grenache, and ideal for rosé because it matures easily and quickly, has vibrant aromatics, yet keeps its zesty acidity for food. Elegant, dry, medium-bodied and very satisfying with wild strawberry, ripe red berry, rose petal, citrus zest and light herb flavours on the palate. The bottle for this rosé was created in a competition for students at design schools in Paris. There is actually a rose shape cut into the glass on the bottom, as well as an elegant glass stopper on the top. Makes for a great water picture when it's empty. Rosé food pairings: seared tuna, sushi, seafood nebayaki udon. Drink: 2024 - 2025 373985 13% XD 750 mL $19.95 Score: 92/100. February 2025. Top Rated Rosé Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
