LeftField Albariño 2022, Gisborne, North Island, New Zealand: From Gisborne, North Island, LeftField 2022 is produced from 100% Albariño. This New Zealand white wine is fresh and fragrant with ripe peach, citrus fruits, tropical fruit notes and fine herb flavours rounded and rich on the palate. Youthful and so good now. Chill and enjoy with grilled halibut steaks. Albariño food pairings: freshly steamed and chilled shrimp, Caesar salads topped with grilled chicken nuggets, pan-fried lemon sole. Red Wine

Château Deyrem Valentin 2016, Margaux, Bordeaux A.C., France: Château Deyrem Valentin Cru Bourgeois 2016 is a dry, full-bodied, rich and smoky red wine blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot and 1% Petit Verdot. Look for blackberry, black currant, smoky and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are textured and fine. Good now, better in 2024 or cellar to 2035. The estate is to the north of Margaux and is owned by the Sorge family and run by Christelle Sorge. Food pairings: roast beef, partridge, venison steaks.
