Royal Tokaji Essencia Tokaj 2008, Tokaj-Hegyalja, Hungary: Tokaji Essencia 2008 is the latest release of Tokaji from the Royal Tokaji Wine Company. Lovely and light on the nose with well-defined fruit aromas of soft orange, rich apricot, elegantly sweet and vibrant with racy acidity on the palate layered with orange zest, Japanese yuzu and honeyed stone fruit. Lighter than the 2007 vintage with the alcohol slightly higher at 4% abv. Comes with a red-lacquer gift box and a crystal sipping spoon for sipping this magic in a bottle. Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port 2017, Douro D.O.P., Portugal: Wow! Love this lovely, rich vintage port seductive with aromas and concentrated flavours of dried blue florals, blackberries, dark cherry, raisin and figgy fruit wrapped up in butterscotch and velvety on the palate. Unfiltered and aged two years in wooden vats prior to being bottled, good now, but it will continue to evolve in bottle for the next 20-plus years. Okanagan Crush Pad Free Form Vin Gris 2019, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia BC V.Q.A., Canada: From the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia wine region, Okanagan Crush Pad's Free Form 2019 Vin Gris is a vegan-friendly Vin Gris produced from Pinot Noir grapes, and for the first time, the grapes for the 2019 vintage were sourced from Garnet Valley Ranch. As produced in the past two vintages, grapes were whole bunch pressed and wild fermented in concrete, where it also underwent full MLF, then rested six months on its lees prior to being bottled unfiltered.
