Most memorable wine?
1974 Barolo that I opened as it was Dead (:

What was your first wine?
Baby Duck... if you want to call that wine :)

What’s your most unusual wine experience?
Pushing a cork into a bottle with a screwdriver and the bottom of a shoe... Don't ask! And, the red wine vinegar I made from the "dead" 1974 Barolo... had to do something with it I just couldn't dispose of it (heartbreaking)

Which wine do you love at the moment?
Chilcas Carmenere

They say labels sell wine... I say don’t judge a book by its cover!

Wine(s) are like people, they all have different characteristics and personalities. Sometimes you meet a few that you really like or gravitate to and sometimes you meet one that you just don’t click with at all. But, you won’t know if you like them until you spend time with them! So I encourage you to spend time with your wine.

Drink wine with an open mind and an open palate! Every time you go to the LCBO, buy a different bottle and try something new! Try a NEW region, varietal, vintage, blend, bubbly etc.

Spending many years in corporate sales, entertaining a lot of V-level and C-level Executives, and quaffing volumes of wine, I developed a passion and appreciation for “the juice”! So, before I burned out, I got out of sales and started to follow my passion! This brings me to the creation of
Wine By Design (WBD) – understanding the parallels between the corporate world and the wine world, WBD assists clients in developing and nurturing business relationships, launching a new product, building your brand, or appreciating clients/employees with a personalized wine experience. WBD travels the wine world to source and provide exclusive wines not available through normal retail channels (LCBO), currently offering wine from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Australia, California and Ontario.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
