Most memorable wine?
Shiraz or CabSauv from Black Opal Winery. Can't get the wine in Ontario, but my aunt always set a bottle aside for me when I'd come visit her! Great memories!

What was your first wine?
Probably a sip of my mom's sauvignon blanc when I was in my late teens.

What’s your most unusual wine experience?
A wine tasting class that paired different wines with potato chips.

Which wine do you love at the moment?
I'm branching out from my usual CabSauv and Shiraz and exploring Zinfandel and CabMerlot wines.


Sharon is passionate about food, wine and writing. Ever since she took the wine course at Fleming College, she continues to enjoy doing this kind of "homework." Sharon's day job includes working the the federal government in Ottawa, where she does more writing (but alas, not while drinking wine)
