Millesimato

Andrea Biasiotto Millesimato Prosecco 2017

Veneto D.O.C., Italy

Andrea Shapiro scored this wine: 90/100

An appealing bubbly Prosecco with a fun frothy and medium bubbles. Fruity, floral aromas of crisp yellow apples, pears and apricot and full bloom honeysuckles. Flavours reveal crisp green tree fruit, melon with just a delicate hint of herbal honey clover reflecting nicely on the palate. Not too sweet or heavy just the right balance of fruit and matching bright acidity. Pair with some soft Taleggio cheese and smoked prosciutto. 90 points

Organic

Momo Organic Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand

Andrea Shapiro scored this wine: 90/100

Naturally fermented with wild yeasts and six months on lees, this fresh Organic, Sauvignon Blanc is a pretty pale lemon green colour - with grassy, lime zest, snow peas, gooseberry, grapefruit, kiwi skin and a flint-driven stony essence. Flavours reflect this alongside nectarine stone fruit, cooked asparagus and lemon citrus notes with an herbal cilantro characteristic lingering into the finish. Bright acidity allows for a crisp, clean classically mouthwatering. Would be a nice accompaniment with anything from the sea, or spring rolls. 90 points

Sofia

Francis Ford Coppola Sofia Rosé 2017

Monterey County, California, United States

Andrea Shapiro scored this wine: 90/100

A fresh blend of Syrah, Grenache and Pinot Noir from vineyards located in the Monterey County region. Delicate yet abundant aromatics of light cherries, white flowers, strawberry, and scrumptious watermelon. Yellow plum, green apple, raspberries, sugar snap peas and clementine citrus adds a mouthwatering crisp finish. Acidity is elevated but it comes together nicely with the balanced body. Very dry - would be a nice accompaniment to a charcuterie or antipasto. 90 points

A pretty pale lemon colour with plenty of stonefruit elements. Apricot, nectarine, white peach. Flavours reveal citrus, fresh green herbs, grapefruit and distinct stony minerals. Brisk, refreshing acidity with a light body and finish. Pair with veggies and herbed dips. 90 points - tasted at the winery

Rosehall Run Ceremony

Prince Edward County, Ontario V.Q.A, Canada

Andrea Shapiro scored this wine: 90/100

An appropriately named celebratory ceremonial sparkler from Rosehall Run. This Blanc de Blanc is made from their own estate Chardonnay grapes, offering a light mousse and medium delicate bubbles. Crisp creen apples, with lingering buttered toast, and zesty grapefruit citrus. Nutty and crisp with a light body. Pretty and dry. This will pair perfectly with a variety of foods or just fine on its own while raising a glass toasting that special event. Tasted at the winery - 90 points
