Beaujolais

Georges Descombes Beaujolais Blanc 2018

Morgon, Burgundy, France

Philippe scored this wine: 90/100

Made of 100% Chardonnay, this Beaujolais is white. The White wines within the Beaujolais represent only 3% of the production. The color is clear golden. I can distinguish aromas of green apple, pear and vanilla. This wine is closed a little bit. You should pour it in carafe for 1/2 hour. It's complex and full-bodied. Pair it with poultry or salmon tartare. Serve it between 12-13 degrees. Can be aged 5-10 years

An other great wine mainly made of Cabernet Sauvignon but this one is a vintage 1990. Clear orange color with aromas of undergrowth, dead leaf, licorice, dried apricot and cedar. This wine is harmonious, long and balanced. It's ready to drink right away. Serve it between 15-17 degrees. Don't forget to decant this wine at less 30 minutes (separate wine sediment from the wine). Take it on its own.

I guess you are familiar with the Organic wine. This one is a natural wine which contains less sulfites than any kind of wine. It's made of Muskateller also know as Muscat. It's a dry Muscat from Vienna Austria. The color is deep golden/amber which means that the wine has reached a certain stage of maturity. The nose is floral with notes of honey, peach, orange peel, smoke, rose flower, mineral, tea and lemon. It's complex and It's an aromatic wine like most Muscat with a balanced acidity. Excellent to pair cheese tray Serve it at 10-12 degrees. Ready to drink but can be aged 2 years.
