Craig Haynes scored this wine: 89/100

Crafted from hand harvested Monastrell, Cabernet Sauvingnon and Syrah, this intensely ruby coloured red matured 12 months in new French and American oak. The result was an enjoyable medium to full bodied wine with rich vanilla and cedar notes woven throughout its ripe dark fruit core. Pair this product of Spain’s Jumilla appellation with smoked meats or sip on its own. Enjoy. Reviewed on March 11, 2020

Craig Haynes scored this wine: 90/100

Vibrant aromas of ripe raspberry and blueberry with a touch of crushed stone dust follow through to grippy tannins, medium bodied spicy palate and long fruit accented finish. This unfiltered blend of Syrah, Mourvedre and Grenache was attractive to the eyes, featuring a deep ruby colour infused with stunning purple hues. These grapes were grown in France’s Saint-Chinian-Roquebrun appellation, an approximately 400 hectares area distributed over four villages, hand harvested from vines planted in schist soils. Enjoy. Dão D.O.C., Portugal

Craig Haynes scored this wine: 90/100

The 2015 vintage Opta is an assemblage of Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro and Tinta Roriz – three signature grapes of Portugal’s Dao appellation where this wine was crafted. An attractive deep ruby colour with a pronounced bouquet of red and dark berries, especially cherries and raspberries. The medium bodied velvety palate was reminiscent of warm red and dark berry preserves. Showed cedar characteristics and smooth tannins, too. Enjoy. Reviewed on May 4, 2020
