Craig Haynes scored this wine: 87/100

Marked by candied red berry and red licorice aromas, the 2018 vintage’s light bodied palate featured red fruit flavours evocative of cherry and raspberry. Fine tannins added to the approachability of this creation from a 200+ year old producer located in France’s Beaujolais appellation. This 100% gamay caught my attention with its stylish shade of bright, ruby red. Enjoy. Reviewed on September 14, 2020

This unoaked, 100% malbec offered a red fruit focused experience from pour to finish. Subdued scents of berry mingled with floral notes on the bouquet. The mid-weight palate featured cherry and berry flavours framed by herbal notes and soft, grippy tannins. This creation was crafted with grapes hand harvested from vines with an average age of 30 years. Ready to drink now. Enjoy. Reviewed on September 14, 2020

Showed a sparkling straw colour in my glass, this slightly sweet riesling (17 g/l sugar content according to the LCBO) offered up enticing citrus and honeysuckle scents that introduced a palate full of grapefruit and pear notes lightly touched by some refreshing acidity. This creation was crafted by Sprucewood Shores, a family owned winery located along the shores of Lake Erie. Enjoy. Reviewed on September 14, 2020
