I look forward to the release of this wine every year. It’s an amazing value for the money and delightfully delicious. It rocks with notes of lime, Granny Smith apple, chives and a tangy tangerine zest on the finish. Chill with a glass of this wine, close your eyes and say to yourself: life’s good! 568634 11% MD 750 mL $14.95 Score: 89/100.

2009 Inniskillin Wines Pinot Noir, V.Q.A., Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario: Could any wine be better with a romantic chick flick than Pinot Noir, the heartbreak grape? Love (or a multi-million dollar book deal and movie royalties) heals all wounds. This wine is loaded with rich cherry-berry flavour delivered on a satin texture with medium- to full-bodied weight. A blackberry-infused finish makes this wine go down slippery fast. Pair with: salmon carpaccio, grilled tuna and sea bass, wild mushroom risotto, bee and past marinara. Well, if Penelope has him, then at least I can drink to those dreamy eyes with this plummy, full-bodied and delicious! What a terrific wine for the price. Classic zinfandel with rich layers of brambleberry, blackberry and blueberry. Full-bodied, supple and smooth. It’s all-American, with lots of character, sass and verve like Julia and Liz.
