We saw how 2014 was an \u2018easier\u2019 year because there was more rain and better conditions for the grapes. This reflected in wines that were \u2018more expressive\u2019 (to use winespeak) on the nose\u2014you could smell so much more than with the 2013s.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2-bottle-shots-of-the-rose.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23169\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2-bottle-shots-of-the-rose.jpg\" alt=\"2 bottle shots of the rose\" width=\"600\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2-bottle-shots-of-the-rose.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/2-bottle-shots-of-the-rose-300x233.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a>Both vintages of the Ros\u00e9 were gorgeous, lush and crisp with just the right touch of sweetness without being \u2018sweet\u2019. Interestingly they mentioned how 50% of their ros\u00e9 sales are outside of the summer months.<\/p>\n<p>Ros\u00e9 used to be considered such a hot weather wine but now it\u2019s gaining popularity year-round, and across both genders! As Alex says, \u2018real men drink ros\u00e9\u2019!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mO46fOwKTS0\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Pierre spoke about\u00a0 how travelling and making wine in different wine regions (including Chile, Australia and New Zealand in addition to various areas of France) helps him keep an open mind to various techniques.<\/p>\n<p>When Priya asked him what his favorite wine is he said \u201cWhat I like in wine is diversity, wine that has a story to tell\u201d. In order to confirm that feeling he went to the south of France and studied viticulture and oenology for a while. At this moment he realized that making good wine was not something you could learn from a book but something you have to practice as much as you can, just like cooking except that you only have your ingredient once in a year.<\/p>\n<p>Before being in charge of the winemaking of Remy Pannier, Pierre has been crushing grapes in a variety of countries and wine areas: Chile, Australia, New Zealand for the South Hemisphere, Hermitage, Muscadet, Languedoc, Ch\u00e2teauneuf du Pape for the North Hemisphere.<\/p>\n<p>He is now settled in the Loire Valley where he enjoys the variety of terroirs and appellations and this blessed climate is what makes the wines so fresh and aromatic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Remy Pannier<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Established in 1885, Remy Pannier offers premium quality Loire Valley wines.
