There’ll be events from coast to coast that will be fun evenings, featuring tastings of the wines in the book and readings from some of the more amusing and indiscreet parts. This gala fundraiser for Breast Cancer research at the gorgeous Arcadian Court is one of the most spectacular events for book lovers during the fall season. Attendees will meet authors such as Ami McKay, author of The Birth House and The Virgin Cure; Terry Fallis, author of The High Road and recent winner of Canada Reads, for his novel The Best Laid Plans; and award-winning singer Jann Arden, who’s just published a terrific autobiography, Falling Backwards. I love this cookbook store in the posh Westmount neighbourhood of Montreal! All of their books are dedicated to food and wine, so the selection is huge. They also have a full-fledged kitchen in the store. The biggest names in food and wine choose to have their book events here: Anthony Bourdain, Barbara Fairchild (Bon Appetit magazine), Bonnie Stern, Laura Calder, Ricardo and more.<\/p>\n

We did two events for the first book and they were so much fun that we had to work together again! There’ll be wine and nibbles. The Friday event will be in the evening and Saturday will likely be around 5:30 p.m., but those times will be confirmed and I’ll update here when they are.
