It just doesn\u2019t get more Canadian than that!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong>:<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/winepicks\/wine\/trius-andres-wines-ltd-riesling-2009\/91761\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-14852\" alt=\"Trius Andres Wines Ltd Riesling 2009\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/Trius-Andres-Wines-Ltd-Riesling-2009.png\" width=\"61\" height=\"252\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00be cup (180 ml) unbleached flour<br \/>\n\u00bc cup (60 ml) butter, at room temperature<br \/>\n\u00bc cup (60 ml) brown sugar<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp (2 ml) baking powder<br \/>\n3 tbsp (45 ml) milk<br \/>\n8 oz (240 g) Canadian Cream Cheese, softened<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1 cup (250 ml) maple syrup<br \/>\n1 apple, finely diced<\/p>\n<p><strong>Topping:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00bc cup (60 ml) unbleached flour<br \/>\n\u00bc cup (60 ml) butter , at room temperature<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/winepicks\/wine\/inniskillin-wines-select-vineyards-pinot-noir-2010\/146396\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-14853\" alt=\"InniskillinWines Pinot Noir2011\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nataliemaclean.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/InniskillinWines-Pinot-Noir2011.jpg\" width=\"68\" height=\"250\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n\u00bc cup (60 ml) brown sugar<br \/>\n\u00bd cup (125 ml) rolled oats<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375oF (190oC).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mix flour with butter, brown sugar and baking powder until smooth. Stir in milk and spread mixture out along bottom of a square 8\u201d or 9\u201d (20 cm or 22 cm) baking pan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Whip Cream Cheese along with egg and maple syrup. Pour into pan over crust and top with diced apple.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In a bowl, stir together all ingredients for topping until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Spread over the Cream Cheese mixture in pan.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bake in the oven for 30\u201340 minutes or until top is golden brown.
