Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This is an absolutely incredible example of what the mourvedre grape (labeled here by its Australian name, mataro) can achieve as a single varietal wine. This wine is super intense and huge (16% ABV), so the way it maintains its balance is miraculous. The nose offers blueberry pie, prune, eucalyptus, new leather, black pepper, cocoa, violet, sweet tobacco, cedar, and incense. Repeats on the palate with additional notes of blackberry, espresso, and clove. The acidity and tannins are both medium-high. The finish offers black and blue fruit, cocoa, and minerality, and seems to linger forever. A beautiful wine!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
